For Generators out of Factory Warranty
The annual fee entitles the owner to call for inspection of the generator for one additional time per year within the contract period. It is the responsibility of the customer to call TEK ELECTRIC for an inspection when needed, at 920-604-2400. For example, if the power has been out and the generator has been active for two days or more, it would be wise to call for the unit to be inspected.
Inspection Service (IS) consists of all activities listed under Preventative Maintenance except:
Filters are inspected, not replaced. Fluids are added, not changed.
The customer authorizes TEK ELECTRIC to perform repairs to the system as deemed appropriate by TEK ELECTRIC at the time of any preventative maintenance service. Repairs may include, but are not limited to, replacement of worn components such as belts or hoses, ignition or engine parts or batteries. Parts that are replaced are the property of the owner and will be left on site for review and disposal by the owner. Should these estimated repairs exceed $100.00 plus applicable taxes, TEK ELECTRIC will provide the owner with an estimate of repairs and will not repair the unit until authorized by the owner.
This agreement will remain in force for the duration of the contract period. At that time a new contract may be signed or cancelled by either party.
TEK ELECTRIC warrants its work to be free of defects in material and workmanship for a period of 30 days from the date of service or repair. This warranty is limited to failure as a result of our workmanship and does not include failures resulting from improper or unauthorized installation, misuse, negligence, accident, overloading, over speeding, fire, flood, vandalism, and theft, repairs by others or any other act beyond the control of TEK ELECTRIC.
Written or verbal acceptance of this agreement, including use of TEK ELECTRIC for normal and periodic maintenance, is authorization for TEK ELECTRIC to use reasonable methods such as telephone or electronic mail to schedule maintenance, inspections or repairs.
